Grindelwald is not the easiest to get to, but it is definitely worth the trip! The nearest international airports are Zurich Airport and Basel Airport. Each are about 2-3 hours away, depending on whether you go by car or train.
The main train station is Grindelwald Train Station, which takes you right to the heart of town.

In Summer, there are rolling green hills with brown little chalets dotting the landscape and steep gray mountains looming overhead.
In Winter, the town converts into a winter wonderland and and snow sports are available!
There’s lots to do in Grindelwald, but the first thing I would recommend is taking a stroll through the town center. From the train station, you can walk right through the center of town and enjoy the boutique shops or a warm Swiss meal.
Grindelwald serves as a starting point to reach what is referred to as “The Top of Europe” – Jungfraujoch.
From Grindelwald you can either take a train or a cable car up to the Jungfrau summit. It is the highest railway in Europe and allows visitors to stand next to the glacier and take in the epic views from the mountain top. Glacier Canyon – Gletscherschlucht is a canyon carved out by a glacier. Walk through the rock tunnels and adventure out onto the famous Spider Web netting across the cavern! Get your tickets here.
